Holiday Toy Drive. We encourage our families to drop off one new unwrapped toy at the Fire Station
between Thanksgiving and Winter Vacation. The firefighters enjoy visits from our students ----and our
students love to visit the fire station. Let them know you represent Kenter Canyon when you make
your deliveries. Our students have recently delivered letters and cards to Station 19 expressing our
appreciation for their incredible work during the recent fires.

PARENT TEACHER CONFERENCES
Teachers have provided information regarding the upcoming Parent-Teacher Conferences to
parents of their students. The conferences are scheduled during the week of November 26-30, 2007
following dismissal. Conferences are 20 minutes in length and provide an opportunity for the teacher
and parent to discuss strengths as well as areas of concern about your child. Please do not bring your
child unless the teacher has specifically asked you to do so. This will provide an opportunity for the
teacher to be candid and allow you to ask questions without concerns about the child’s presence.
Report cards will be discussed at the conference; however, the LAUSD has set the distribution
date as Friday, November 30, 2007.
