Ms. Deborah, Art Teacher
I believe first and foremost that everyone has a creative bone in his/her body. Furthermore, I believe the student must be engaged intellectually, physically, and soulfully for true learning to occur, and when Art instruction is well implemented in a school curriculum all other areas of learning are enhanced.
Education in the Arts cultivates creative problem solving, self esteem, exploration and physical manipulation of materials and ideas. In my Art Enrichment Program at Kenter the students will explore the basics and the not so basics of Art in a fun and nurturing environment often including historical references and artist studies.
We will explore diverse styles of painting, drawing, sculpture and printmaking processes with a focus on finding that creative talent in each student. It is my intention that the kids will be excited about the material presented and will take it home with them, inspired to create on their own and share these ideas with their family.
