New Age Requirements for Kindergarten

AGE REQUIREMENTS FOR ENROLLMENT IN PUBLIC SCHOOL KINDERGARTEN

New California legislation requires that a child be 5 years of age on or before the following dates to be eligible for enrollment in public school kindergarten in the state of California.

November 2, 2012 for the 2012-2013 school year
October 2, 2013 for the 2013-2014 school year
September 2, 2014 for the 2014-2015 school year.
